Hello Friends. I am hoping that everyone is doing good. Yes it has been a long time since I have posted a recipe and all I can say that I had gone in to hibernation this winter season. Yep having 3 kids at home can be sometimes taxing :-). So now that it’s finally spring, my kids can go out and do some outdoor activities . It also means that I can fire up my grill and start having some get together with friends and family! Few days back R1 ( My hubby) was craving for some chips and salsa… specifically the roasted tomatillo salsa verde as he really enjoys the smokey flavor of the tomatillos and jalapeños. It tastes different than regular green salsa – the flavor is so delectable. This is the easiest tomatillo salsa verde recipe you’ll find.
Our Quick & easy Tomatillo Salsa Verde was inspired by a night of homemade Mexican and perfect for anyone preferring tang over sweet, a refreshing alternative to plain tomato and tomatillo salsas. You can try our Salsa Recipe .Made with all fresh ingredients, fresh tomatillos, jalapeno, cilantro and lime, It’s tangy and fresh with a smokey spicy kick.Enjoy this salsa on tacos and grilled meats, fish and seafood.
Tomatillo Salsa Verde is one of those sauces that you can add to just about anything savory and make it better! Although, we love it on it’s own with chips while watching the game, it’s also great when we’re entertaining to pour over a block of cream cheese and serve with crackers. Serve it alongside your favorite tacos or on eggs in the morning. The spicy tomatillos, punched up with garlic, cilantro with a twist of lime compliment so many foods!
To cook the tomatillos, you can either roast them in the oven, brown them on the stove top, or boil them. Roasting in the oven or browning on the stove top will deliver more flavor. Each way works, though boiling is a more common way to cook the tomatillos.
