Colorful Thandai & Tapioca Shots to celebrate the festival of colors, Holi. The kids will love you for this fun and colorful dessert.
A few days ago, I was surfing online on my laptop with my 8 year old son, R2 by my side. He saw various pictures of Thandai on my Facebook wall and the curious mind he is he had so many questions for me.
What is this?
What is it made of?
Why do you drink it?
Can you make it?
Can I have it too?
Ofcourse I was trying not to lose my patience and answer his questions. So that when I started to explain to him about the Holi festivals and its foods. Just as I was sighing to myself that the questions are finally coming to a closure, I realized I was wrong. He goes like
‘Ma, since this is about Holi, can you make the drink a bit more colorful’
That’s when I put on my thinking cap to figure out how do I make thandai kid friendly and here you go…Presenting to you these colorful jello tapioca thandai shots.
Since R2 is a pro at setting jello,he was responsible to set the jello. R3 was super excited seeing his big brother make his favorite Lalllow (Yellow) color jello. In the end the effort was all worth it and m kids felt great that they were able to contribute too. Bacche kush to mummy bhi khush, ofcourse!!!
