Cook butter and garlic until garlic is fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add lemon zest and juice, parsley, and cheese to the skillet and simmer until thickens.
Remove the pasta sauce from heat and toss with the noodles. Once mixed, stir small amounts of pasta water until you reach desired consistency.
Transfer to serving plates and then garnish with more lemon zest, sprinkle some fresh cracked black pepper, and squeeze a little lemon juice on top.
