Mexican Telera Bread Recipe

Mexican Telera bread rolls aka Mexican breads have a slightly sweet flavor and a soft, fluffy texture. They are the perfect size to make Mexican sandwiches or serve them on the side with your favorite entrees.

– All-Purpose Flour – Salt – Dry Active Yeast – Warm Water – Unsalted Butter – Sugar – Oil

INGREDIENTS

Add the dry ingredients to a mixing bowl, add hot tap water and butter. Knead with a dough hook for 8-10 minutes until you get a soft ball.

Proof dough in the Instant Pot. Place the lid on and press the yogurt button. Leave the dough  in the pot for 60 minutes or until it has doubled in size.

Divide into 6 equal pieces, then roll and stretch into oval shapes, about 5-6 inches long. Make indentations in each loaf , using a chopstick.

Brush the tops with oil, let them rest until doubled in volume. Then brush with water and  bake at 400°F for 15 to 18 minutes.
