Description

Plus making them in the air fryer means less oil so you can feel good sharing a lightened-up snack with your family. 


Ingredients

  • 6 small tortillas (white corn or yellow corn)
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • Coarse salt

For other flavors

  • Cajun - Cajun Spice Mix
  • Curried - Curry Powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Salt
  • Chili lime -Lime Juice, chili powder, garlic powder & onion powder
  • Spicy - Smoked Paprika and Black Pepper
  • Sweet - Cinnamon & Sugar

Instructions

Air Fryer Instructions

  1. Before you place the chips in the air fryer, you need to first cut the tortillas into 6 to 8 equal pieces. To do this, lay the tortillas on a cutting board and then slice down the middle like you would a pizza.
  2. Lightly spray the chips with cooking spray and coarse salt. Next, add the chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping them.
  3. Set the air frier to 350 and cook for 3 minutes. 
  4. After 3 minutes, carefully remove the basket and flip each chip. 
  5. Once flipped, cook another 2 to 3 minutes or until brown and crispy.

Bake Instructions

  1. To bake tortilla chips, you need to first cut the tortillas into 6 to 8 equal pieces. To do this, lay the tortillas on a cutting board and then slice down the middle like you would a pizza.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Next, place the chips on a cookie sheet or flat baking pan in a single layer.
  4. Bake the chips for 7 minutes at 350 degrees and then flip, add more salt if desired, and then bake another 5 minutes or until they have browned and crisped.
