Ingredients

  • 12 oz cup fresh cranberries
  • 2 (8 oz) package of regular cream cheese
  • 1-2 chopped jalapenos seeded for less heat
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 medium Lemon
  • 3 or 4 Chopped green onion

  • A. Preparing the cranberry mixtureTo create the perfect cranberry mixture for your dip, follow these simple steps:
  • Rinse fresh cranberries thoroughly
  • Chop cranberries finely using a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Transfer cranberry mixture to a bowl. 
  • B. Chopping jalapeños safelyWhen handling jalapeños, safety is key. Here's how to chop them without any mishaps:
  • Wear disposable gloves to protect your hands
  • Remove stems and seeds from jalapeños
  • Finely dice the jalapeños using a sharp knife, Wash hands thoroughly after handling, even if wearing gloves
  • Chop green onion, and cilantro.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, add chopped cranberries, green onion, cilantro and jalapeños.
  • Add sugar, and lemon juice on top of cranberry mixture and stir gently until blended.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for 1 hr. or overnight.
  • C. Blending with cream cheeseNow, let's combine our ingredients for a creamy, flavorful dip:
  • Soften cream cheese at room temperature
  • Spread cream cheese onto a serving plate and top with cranberry mixture. if there is lot of liquid you can strain out all liquid using a colander with small holes.
  • Sprinkle with remaining jalapeno and reserved green onions.  Serve with your favorite crackers and veggies
  • D. Chilling for optimal flavorTo achieve the best taste and texture:
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl
  • Cover with plastic wrap
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hours, preferably overnight
