Rinse the basmati rice thoroughly and keep aside.
Press the Saute mode and heat the oil or ghee in the Instant Pot.
Once the oil is hot, temper it cumin, turmeric, garlic and garam masala.
Cook for a min and stir.
Now add in the rice and stir for a min again.
Finally add the salt and water and cover the lid.
Seal the vent and pressure cook on Manual or Pressure Cook mode for 6 minutes.
Allow pressure to naturally release for about 10 minutes.
Garnish with parsley, pomegranate arils and almond slices and serve warm with yogurt or raita.
