Fresh Ginger Sugar Water

INSTRUCTIONS

Bring water and sugar to a boil to dissolve the sugar.

Add cubed ginger and simmer on low heat for 1-1 ½ hours. Remove from heat and strain.

Sprinkle ginger with sugar and let dry for a few hours in a cool dry place, turning them halfway through.

Store in a sealed container. Use the reserved ginger syrup liquid for teas, cakes, and waffles.
