Ingredients

  • 1 cup blanched almond flour do not use almond meal
  • ¾ cup milk or dairy-free milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup ghee clarified butter
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
  • A few saffron strands optional
  • Chopped nuts for garnish optional

Instructions

  • In a large microwave-safe glass bowl, add 1 cup almond flour, ¼ cup ghee, and ¾ cup milk. Mix well.
  • Microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  • Stir well, then microwave again for 1 minute.
  • Add ½ cup sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands. Stir everything.
  • Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring each time until the mixture thickens, turns glossy, and starts leaving the sides of the bowl (around 2 minutes).
  • Let it rest for 1 minute. Serve warm, topped with chopped nuts if you like.
