What I received with Hungryroot
Here’s what I received from Hungryroot based on my food profile, but keep in mind, your groceries might look different depending on your own preferences and dietary needs!
It was a mixed delivery of some fresh ingredients that needed to be refrigerated, some pantry staples, some ready to eat options, snacking, breakfast and dessert options all for some days of the week.
Meals I tried using Hungryroot
Putting meals together was a breeze, I didn't have to stress about time because all meals could be ready in 20 minutes max, using a combination of fresh organic ingredients, prepacked spices and some ready to eat ingredients. Isn't that awesome.
- Roasted Veggie Buddha Bowl - Simple, quick, and delicious! I skipped pre-cut veggies, but chopping took just minutes. A sheet pan bake of sweet potatoes, onions, and cauliflower did the work while I warmed cauliflower rice. Then, I just assembled it all with vibrant veggies and a generous dollop of Lemon Garlic Hummus. So good!
- Herby Chickpea Veggie Bowl - Ready in under 10 minutes! I quickly seasoned garbanzo beans while chopping cucumbers, then assembled with fresh spinach, tzatziki, and pickled onions. Pure nourishment in a bowl!
- Loaded Vegan Baked Potatoes - This anti-inflammatory meal came together in under 20 minutes! I microwaved the potatoes, chopped avocado, warmed black beans, then loaded it all up with salsa. Mild but with a great kick—loved it!
- Arugula, Zucchini Salad with Sweet Chili Dressing and Black Bean Patty - Organic and easy! While the veggie-black bean patties cooked, I chopped zucchini, tossed it in sweet chili dressing, and assembled the salad. The dressing was perfect for my Indian taste buds!
- Tofu Lettuce Wraps with Fresh Veggie Salsa - Low-sodium and ready in 10 minutes! I chopped veggies, seasoned them, and wrapped it all with spiced tofu bites. So refreshing!
Breakfast, Snacks and Dessert from Hungryroot
These made life so much easy as I didn't have to plan school snacks or morning breakfasts for some days.
Blueberry Maple Oatmeal - Low-sodium and effortless! I soaked superfood oats overnight, then topped them with fresh blueberries and Vermont maple syrup. Loved the combo!
Other days we enjoyed snacking and satisfying our sweet tooth on a variety of dates, smoothie, pickle chips, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cups, fruit chewys, manjo jerky.
Hint: Boost meals with Hungryroot's extra plant-based protein like lentils, tempeh, or nuts.
What I Loved about Hungryroot and is it worth the hype?

- Healthy meals: I was able to customize my meals to my preferences with high quality, wholesome groceries to achieve not just mine but my family's health goals too.
- High Quality Ingredients: Most of the products I received had recognizable ingredients and were high quality, organic, Non-GMO products.
- New Foods: We tried so many new foods that we wouldn't have tried otherwise and enjoyed most of them.
- Full-sized groceries: Groceries came in full-size portions and were perfect for my family.
- Flavors: My Indian taste buds enjoyed some of the meals with delicious ready to dressings and spice mixes.

If you love cooking, use Hungryroot’s prepped ingredients as shortcuts rather than following their recipes exactly.
