Thank You for the amazing recipe
In case, I replace sugar with maple syrup — do i need to add it at the beginning while cooking?
Nancy says
Hi there! I'm newly passionate about rose petal jam discovered in my Ayurvedi studies. I'm making some today and have this question. While measuring accurately and cooking on the stove at medium heat, I'm way past 10 minutes with just a slight thickening, but the yield is around 3 cups vs the 8 oz. yield listed. I would estimate the yield of the Gulkand to be 8 oz. Any particular recommendations or thoughts?
Tanya says
Hi, can u pls update the dried rose petal quantity in grams?
Eesha says
Is Gulkand added at the time of making the rose milk? I see it mentioned in title but no directions.
Can you also share where you bought the rose petals from?
Anvita says
Hi Eesha,
Gulkand is the by-product of this recipe. When you strain the petals for the syrup the petals you collect in the strainer is the Gulkand.

Hi Priyanka,
If you maintain the roses in your garden and don't spray pesticides on them, then you can use the roses from your garden as long as they are free of diseases. Hope that helps.
