Here’s what you’ll want to use when making kale chips:

  • Kale - We use kale sold in bunches, but you may use roughly chopped kale found in the produce section of your store.
  • Cooking oil spray - You could also use regular oil, but it is easiest if you have a spray bottle for this.
  • Spices - We use a combination of salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Lemon wedge - We use this as garnish, but you can squeeze on some juice for added flavor.

When you make kale chips, you’ll want to wash and dry them first.

Once they are dry, carefully remove the leaves from the stalks. We make the chips about 3 to 4 inches wide so they can hold some dipping sauce and are not too small.

?️What to serve with kale chips

Kale chips go well with anything you might dip regular chips in like our Chick Fil A Sauce. You can also serve them alongside sandwiches, salads, or just a quick snack on their own. Sometimes I like to serve it as a crispy side of green with my curries and rice or roti.

We prefer to use fresh, bunches of kale. You can control their size better and tend to be fresher than bagged versions.
