Air frying peaches is a quick and straightforward process. Utilizing your air fryer, you should cook these halves for approximately 10-15 minutes.
Monitor them regularly to avoid burning. Once they're slightly brown on top and have a withered appearance, they are suitably air fried. Remember, if you prefer softer, well-cooked peaches, you can air fry them for an additional 3-4 minutes. Please bear in mind that air fryers can cook differently, always refer to your device's manual for guidance.
Why Use Parchment Paper In The Air Fryer
I highly recommend using a parchment paper in your air fryer when preparing fresh peaches. The advantages to this include:
Protecting the air fryer from food remnants, thus aiding in easy clean-up.
Preventing the peaches from sticking to the air fryer's base.
Preserving the air fryer's integrity, prolonging its lifespan.
Follow these easy steps to properly use parchment paper in your air fryer:
Cut the parchment paper to fit the air fryer's size, leaving some edges to lift out the peaches later.
Lay the parchment paper at the air fryer's base before adding your peaches.
Remember to be cautious and use silicone kitchen tools to handle the hot air fryer and its contents.
It's very unlikely that you will have any leftovers. Incase you do have leftovers make sure you store the air fryer peaches in an air tight container in the fridge for 1-2 days.
Do not freeze.
Its' best to use slightly firm or under rip peaches. Using a perfectly ripe or overripe peach will result in a mushy texture.
PRO TIP! If your peaches are hard, I recommend putting them into a brown paper bag for a couple days to soften before using.
I do not recommend freezing the peaches once air fried. They will hold a lot of moisture after being frozen and become mushy.
Yes, reheating grilled peaches is easy. Simply reheat them in the microwave or you can place them back in the air fryer for a minute on high.
I don't recommend canned peaches for this recipe. They will not yield the texture you are looking for.
