Ummm.... aren't most oils "vegetable based" (OLIVE oil, VEGETABLE oil, SUNFLOWER oil... etc)???
Lily says
@Marti, WFPB (whole food plant based) avoids processed foods. Oils are processed.
Rosie Wallace says
@Lily, Auquafaba is chick pea liquid.
Molliann says
@Lily, perhaps the author should have stated that if you want" non-processed oils" use aquafaba, rather than "plant based". Marti is correct in questioning this statement.

I tried it and it came out too yum

Tried this recipe and the flavor turned out great. Although the outside was crispy the inside was still soft. I was expecting it to be entirely crispy. Not sure what I did wrong, do you have any tips on how to make it completely crispy.
Marsha says
@Marsha,
I use overnight soaked chickpeas but not boiled. Let chickpeas dry and then roast them according to above recipes. They come out crispy on outside and inside. Generally I keep them in airtight container in the refrigerator.
Lori says
@Marsha, hi do you just leave them in water overnight? How long do you let them dry for? Thank you
